Ambasador Victor Emmanuel Smith has called on church leaders in the USA to keep reminding their Ghanaian congregants to never forget where they came from and to fire up the spirit of patriotism, national pride and consciousness. He tasked the church leaders to encourage their members to link up with, and partner, organizations and individuals who are interested in investing in Ghana to create opportunities for the teeming youth and contribute to nation-building. He requested for prayers for the team as they travel around the USA, preaching "the good news about Ghana’s opportunities and strengthening bilateral ties", that their efforts will not only yield fruit for Ghana today but also for generations yet unborn. The call came during the 2026 edition of the Annual Ambassador's Breakfast Meeting with the Council of Ghanaian Pastors and Churches (COGPAC-USA) held at the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, DC. Ambassador Smith said "Nation-building is not only political; it is spiritual, it is service. It is stewardship." Church leaders are, therefore, to see themselves as active contributors in the service to the nation Ghana. The COGPAC-USA, on their part, outlined plans in that regard and pledged the use of their good offices in the efforts to attract American investors and businesses to Ghana.
