Ambassador Victor Emmanuel Smith has re-echoed the call to Ghanaian diaspora to partner American investors in expanding development and job creation in Ghana. He said Ghana has positioned itself to strengthen private sector participation, manage external debts responsibly and exit the IMF stabilization programme with confidence and credibility. The Ambassador highlighted the transformative investment opportunities and touched on some of the hurdles which have been overcome to stabilize the economy under President John Dramani Mahama and reiterated that Ghana is open for business. The Ambassador was speaking at the latest Investment Roundtable in the US, the 7th in the series held in Orrick's New York office, New York city. The Deputy CEO of GIPC, Abdul Razak, outlined investment opportunities and incentives under the GIPC Act to support priority sectors for industrial transformation in the Mahama administration. This engagement forms part of the Embassy’s focus on expanding access, driving impactful investment for job creation and development into Ghana.
