Institutional Investor Network calls on H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith

Bintou Kabor-Zerbo, Executive Director, Institutional Investor Network called on H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, to discuss the strategic investment plan of the government of Ghana. Her team included Marlon Brown, an investment consultant and Alphons IBI Kouagou, CEO and Founder, IBI Ventures. The team was looking for an opportunity to engage with several links in the Ghanaian institutions. Their main focus was on fund management and strategic investment with different high level institutions both in the USA and in Africa and the safe management of investor funds to maximize profits, with 27trillion in assets being managed with over 2700 people on their pension platform. Part of the discussions centered on traceability of process, and ethical and environmental conditions for safe exploration in the mining sector citing examples of other African countries where mineral resources were mined using children during war times, and the utmost disregard for environmental preservation resulting in contaminated water and the destruction of farmlands as pertains in the fight against galamsey in Ghana.
